Becks almost destroyed his left ankle again. In the 28th minute, he rolled it from a tackle and scared everyone. He walked it off and then scored off a free kick 15 minutes later. Beckham played in a charity match this past weekend in which he had two goals and three assists. The Galaxy ended up winning 10-4 haha…kind of ridiculous. But on a side note Galaxy head coach Frank Yallop quit to coach the new expansion team in San Jose. Galaxy is now looking for a big name head coach. Jose Mourinho anyone? I went to the Galaxy game tonight and man it was pretty depressing. Gordon scored a solid header goal over RSL’s keeper in the first half. Then late in the 2nd half, Cobi hit the cross bar from a left footed bomb and RSL countered off that and scored. Then a couple minutes later they scored from a corner with some trash goal. Sorry for not posting lately. I have been in the middle of my college pre-season for soccer, so I have been super busy. I’m sure everyone heard Becks got his first goal and assist on Wednesday. The free kick, shown below, was about 25 out and hit side netting. The keeper guessed the wrong way but even if he had gone to his right, he wouldn’t have had a chance. His assist came in early in the second half when he slipped Donovan, the left back for DC donkeyed it, and Donovan scored. He played really well but still needs to defend. Word to your mother.
