While on a shopping spree in Beverly Hills with Victoria, The Beckham’s four-year-old son Romeo had three unrecognizable tattoos on his left arm, just like Mr. Beckham. The three tattoos are easily removed with soap and water but why not get started early? David Beckham sports a tat of Victoria’s name in Hindi on his left arm and a huge angel in the shape of a cross with the name of his three sons, Romeo, Brooklyn, and Cruz with in the angel on his back. The two have more then 10 tattoos between them. Source: thisislondon.co.uk, Miz Showbiz Filed under: Celebrity Life and Victoria Beckham Comments: 1 Comment |
David Beckham aggravated his ankle in his MLS debut against DC United. According to Becks, he said “I’m not sure about my ankle. It flared up again after the DC United Game.” The game today for Galaxy is away at New England Revolution’s stadium. New England’s field is also an artificial turf field which will not favor Beckham’s ankle if he was to play. Source: BBC Filed under: Athletic Life and David Beckham Comments: None |

David Beckham got in in the 72nd minute of the Galaxy vs. DC United game. He served a decent ball into the box from the midfield around the 78th minute. He got a free kick in the 85th from about 30 out on the sideline and nothing came of it. He played a sick ball through to Donovan in the 88th but the keeper got to it. Becks did some basic distributing but the guy does not defend! Probably because of the ankle but still, he has to get more stuck in or else teams will go straight down the middle of Galaxy’s midfield. Galaxy were down a man because Martino got a red but that should have made Beckham defend harder. Beckham said that his ankle felt better then it has but it was tough playing when he hasn’t played in 8 weeks. He said the Galaxy has to look forward to the next game and get over this one. On a sidenote, 46,868 people attended tonights Galaxy vs. DC United game in RFK stadium. Only 8 MLB games have had more then 45,000 people in RFK and those were two all star games and a couple Yankees games. Steve McClaren, the England national soccer team manager, also attended the game to get a gage on Beckham and the level of MLS soccer. “We Sing Better Than Your Wife”, was a sign held by DC United’s cheerleaders The Screaming Eagles. Mr. Beckham suited up and had a limited practice today at RFK stadium in DC. He said his ankle is feeling better and he may play 10-20 minutes on Thursday, in front of an expected sold out crowed of 45,000, depending on how it feels before the game. He also said “I can’t really apologize for being injured because that’s just the way of life in any sportsman’s career. It’s frustrating for myself to not be out there on the pitch, probably more frustrating than for the people to wait for me to step onto the pitch. I’m doing everything possible to get fit, and that’s all I can say.” Frank Yallop, The Galaxy head coach, said “We’re not going to put him out there to re-injure it”…”We’ll put him out there when he’s fit and ready to go. He’s getting close. We won’t force him.” Filed under: Athletic Life and David Beckham Comments: None |

David Beckham and his teammates flew into Toronto this past Friday for the game they tied on Sunday. According to Kickette, Becks and Galaxy teammates got off the plane Friday night and drove directly to Ultra Supper Club to party. David and Victoria Beckham have decided to expand and increase their popularity with his and her fragrances. Along with Victoria’s new clothing line dVb, Victoria has said that she loved being involved with the whole process of creating the fragrances. The new set of his and hers fragrances of Intimately Beckham, including Beckham’s fragrance Instinct is estimated to bring in up to 100 million dollars within this next year. Their campaign for the fragrances starts next month. I guess this is just another way this insanely popular couple is assimilating into the American culture. On a side note, Victoria is planning on introducing a series of Posh cosmetics. Well first off, Beckham’s teammates are not even allowed into the training room when Becks is getting his ankle treatment. This is to prevent any leaks to the public, so all information is secondhand. But according to the experts on ankle injuries, he probably does not even have a sprained ankle. According to Bill Songhurst, who has treated Beckham in the past, he thinks Beckham is having trouble with his subtalar joint. “This occurs at the meeting point of the talus and the calcaneus. The reason we think this is because if it were lateral ligament damage (a sprain) it would have healed already.” So there you go, we are all probably getting lied to by Galaxy management which is pissing us off even more. Galaxy management (Alexi Lalas) needs to admit he has a more severe injury then we think, give us a proper diagnosis and real time frame on when he should return, and a lot more people will be happy with Beckham. MLS and Galaxy, stop being money grubbing capitalists, he is here for 5 more years! On a side note Galaxy tied Toronto tonight in front of a sold out 20,500 crowed. He sat on the bench wearing a navy blue suit and red neck tie and did not talk to reporters after the game. According to LA Galaxy head coach, Frank Yallop, Beckham will probably not play against Germany on August 22nd for England’s friendly. He has not played a match for Galaxy since his short debut against Chelsea last month but he will travel to Toronto this weekend for the match against Toronto FC. His ankle injury is still nagging him but he will probably be ready to play in the next week and a half. Filed under: Athletic Life and David Beckham Comments: None |
